THE MARSHALL MESSER GILL FAMILY

MARSHALL MESSER GILL: Born on August 15, 1841 and died July 18, 1919.
He married Armenta Missouri Davenport (Sue) on August 22, 1865.
She was born May 23, 1845 and died May 30, 1939
Both are buried in the Hittson Cemetery, in Palo Pinto County, Texas.
Their children were--

JOHN GILL: Born February 28,1867, in Yellville, Arkansas
He drowned in the Brazos River, July 4, 1877. He is buried in the Hittson Cemetery.

JOSEPH MOTE GILL: 'Mote', Papa Gill and Mama Gill
Born May 11,1869 in Yellville, Arkansas and died April 18,1949.
He married Julia Emily Hess on December 18, 1895.
She was born September 12, 1875, in Ottawa, Illinois, and died January 31, 1974.
Both are buried in the Hittson Cemetery.
5 boys and 3 girls. Anne, Cam, Dock, Black, Hanner, Etta, Ludie and JM.

DOCK BROWN GILL: and another baby boy, dates unknown.

SUDIE (SUE) GILL: Born November 18, 1873 and died December 22, 1965.
Married John Oaks in March, 1892, who died in 1954.
Both are buried in the Elmwood Cemetery in Mineral Wells, Texas.
3 girls, Dora, Stella and Donna (Don or Donnie)

JENNIE GILL: Born January 1, 1876 and died June 4, 1953.
Married Aaron Jordan in 1895. He died Oct. 1, 1946. Both buried in the Hittson.
One boy, Tom, he had no children

OAKSIE GILL: Born October 13, 1880.She married John Daniels in 1896.
They both died July24, 1916. She was buried in the Hittson, he at Sturdivant Cem.
2 girls and 2 boys ,Fred (Fredda), Matilda, (Tid, rhymes with lid), LM and Alex.

WILLIAM ALEXANDER GILL: Born October, 1886. He died December 22,1891.
He died of earache and was buried in the Hittson Cemetery--- 'Little Alex'

ANNE GILL: Born Died November 22, 1971, Married to Jim Coleman.
They had no children.
Both are buried in the Elmwood Cemetery, in Mineral Wells , Texas.
