NOT IN MY HOUSE, YOU DON'T

We were visiting Eldridge, he had moved into his old McDonald house, up on backward K, still working on it. Tommy, Benny and Richard were prowling around outside. Suddenly Tommy come running, “I've got to use the bathroom.”

Eldridge grinned, “Not in my house you don't” His commode wasn't hooked up yet.

We sent Tommy to the old falling down wooden toilet that was out back, or behind a tree

He never had done that before.

Backward K was the cattle brand that Eldridge used. Daddy's brand was K. They were both easy to make. 'Backward K' That became the name of Eldridges place.
